protect loved ones from dangerous drugs & medicines part 1
Dear All, I wanted to share with you some tips on how to protect people that you care about from dangerous drugs, dangerous medicines, and combinations of them. Please google epocrates, micromedex — these are programs where you can put in several different drugs that you or your loved one is taking, and they will tell you if there are any dangerous drug interactions that come about. Medlineplus and webmd are free websites that will give you warnings to dangerous drug combinations. They are not as thorough as epocrates and micromedex, but will be helpful as a preliminary review of your drugs. If you know of any other good programs let me know and I will update this video description. Thank you, Jeff

Salman Khan: Let’s use video to reinvent education
www.ted.com Salman Khan talks about how and why he created the remarkable Khan Academy, a carefully structured series of educational videos offering complete curricula in math and, now, other subjects. He shows the power of interactive exercises, and calls for teachers to consider flipping the traditional classroom script — give students video lectures to watch at home, and do “homework” in the classroom with the teacher available to help.
